We, the temporary professed sisters of Senegal, took part in a week of formation meetings in Ngasobil, in the diocese of Dakar, attended by 17 congregations, most of them female. The participants were 52 in total. The main objective was “personal formation,” and in this regard, we were given clarification and offered concepts and tools useful for continuing on our journey.
Formation is not a private matter or something that concerns only a particular moment in one’s personal life. It is important to see how it affects the past, present, and future of each person, but also of the Congregation. Hence the need to cultivate a taste for learning, for acquiring knowledge, for going further, for advancing in life. We experienced these moments by sharing in small groups and then in a larger group. The sharing was rich, and we appreciated the speakers’ contributions. We thank God for these fraternal moments spent together. We are certain that the gift we received will allow us to grow spiritually and humanly.
