On January 31, 2026, the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Prenovitiate entrance ceremony was held in Keur Baye Fall, Senegal, for three young women: Raymonie Adama Loum, Marie Pascal Ndong, and Valentine Satou Ndour. In the presence of their families and Sisters, they experienced an afternoon rich in emotions and marked by contemplation and prayer. The celebration, presided over by Delegated Councilor Sr. Sophie Emilie Dioh, was characterized by moments filled with meaning, like the conferral of the medal, the Rule, and the Congregational Constitutions.

«This step in the SFP family has stirred profound joy in my heart. For me, it was a day of celebration. I was truly touched by the presence of friends, my parents, and several Sisters. At the moment when I received the medal of Mother Frances and the Constitutions of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, I became emotional. My entrance in the Prenovitiate expresses my desire to continue this journey of faith through the charism of Mother Frances.” Raymonie Adama Loum
“Under the encouraging gaze of several of my family members and some Sisters, Sr. Sophie welcomed me into my new family. In that instant I felt immense joy, aware that awaiting me are a new mission, new responsibilities, and new decisions. It was truly a day rich in emotions because I became aware that I was being accompanied in realizing the desire burning within me: to follow Christ by one day becoming a member of the Congregation.” Marie Pascal Ndong
