The Associates of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor are laypeople who feel called to share our charism. They are present in the United States, Brazil, Senegal, and the Philippines.

Associates desire to live their personal vocation by incarnating the charism of Mother Frances and Franciscan spirituality in their daily lives. They weave relationships inspired by Gospel values wherever they are: among family, at work, and in all the places they frequent, including among contacts promoted through social media. Inspired by the charism of Blessed Frances Schervier, they desire to offer their personal service in favor of the poor based on their availability and talents. They also meet periodically to pray, share ministry and life, and support one another.
